TAYLOR, TWICE: Taylor Swift's "Fearless" (Big Machine) leads Top Country Albums for the seventh consecutive week. The country singer's sophomore album debuted at No. 1 the week of Nov. 29, 2008 and hasn't budged since. It's the longest uninterrupted reign since Swift remained in pole position for eight weeks in August/September 2007 with her first release.
Moving back up to No. 2 on Top Country Albums this week is that first album by Swift, giving her the top two positions on this survey. It's the first time one artist has locked down first and second place since the week of Aug. 2, 2008, when Taylor's "Beautiful Eyes" EP debuted at No. 1 and her first album fell 1-2.
Taylor's eponymous first album entered the chart the week of Nov. 11, 2006, at No. 3. It then fell to No. 8 and by its third week had slipped out of the top 10. Once upon a time, I was a girl who had just found out her boyfriend was dating another girl at the same exact time that he was dating me. I locked myself in the bathroom. I doubled over crying and weeping against the bathroom door. It could only hold me up for so long. I finally slid down it's slick front until I hit the cold floor beneath me. I sat in that same crumpled position, cursing through my tears, hyperventilating with my head in hands.. losing control of my body and thoughts.
Don't worry. Although this similar event has unfortunately happened to me in the past, this was only an audition for a part in the new Taylor Swift video, "White Horse". An audition that I literally picked myself up off of the floor from, and walked out with a new found respect for myself and my work as an artist ( musically or theatrically).

According to FanGap.com, Taylor's mom will be spending her birthday on the set of SNL.
"I don’t think either of us would’ve believed you if you would’ve told us a few years ago that we’d get to spend her birthday in New York City - at Saturday Night Live! Wow. It’s pretty unreal.”

Today Taylor Swift posted the following on her MySpace blog:
So.... I know this isn't newsworthy.. But I have no one else to tell this to. I'm sitting on my bed, and my cat is sitting next to me SNORING so loudly.. And I'm trying not to laugh, because I'll wake her up. It's so awesome though. You just don't expect little cats to snore like that. And periodically, she'll have weird dreams where she's running through a field or something (I have no idea what cats actually dream about, this is just a theory)... So then she's snoring AND twitching and moving her legs.. It's hilarious. I tried to call Abigail so she could hear it, but she's off at college is probably studying or doing something cooler than watching a cat snore.
Anyway, that reminds me of something that really IS newsworthy.. Something I've been dreaming about and hoping for and wishing for years.. I just found out that I get to play on Saturday Night Live!! January 10th! It's my mom's birthday, and I don't think either of us would've believed...
