On MTV's 2009 Video Music Awards Taylor Swift is joining Cobra Starship, Katy Perry, Russell Brand and Ne-Yo for a special version of the classic "West Side Story" tune "Tonight". She sings her own version of famous song “Tonight”, shared her expectations of love and life. It was pretty theatrical and very urban, because she feels the song on a personal way. MTV News channels her version of the legendary song, which will then be presented together with all the other versions of the track. After that the video will be showed in the days preceding the September 13 13th at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, just a few short blocks from some of the hottest Broadway shows, including the revival of West Side Story (and Rock Daily fave Rock of Ages). Taylor Swift was very affected to get the chance to see the world her Broadway chops. "It's gonna be me and couple of artists, and we're shooting individual versions of the song," she explained. In January 2009, She announced her first Taylor Swift tour dates. She is taking her North American Fearless Tour 2009 to 52 cities in 38 states. It began on April 23 in Evansville, Indiana. For special guests were invited Kellie Pickler and Gloriana. One of the stop of her Fearless Tour was at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, VA. The same school won a performance with her as part of competition which was sponsored by Verizon.
Taylor Swift has and singles. One of them, which stayed at number 2 for two weeks in the top 5 was “Love Story”. It’s the lead single in her world-famous album Fearless. The second official single was “White Horse”. In Philippines it was next to “Love Story”. On April 21, 2009 she released the song “You Belong with Me”.
