Taylor Alison Swift was born in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania on December 13. Taylor began performing and writing songs around the age of 10. Taylor, 19, did many performances at local festivals, fairs, and karaoke contests. Many of Taylor's musical influences were Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks, and LeAnn Rimes. Taylor would bring in Demo CD's to Music Row, which was in Nashville. She made multiple trips there, and when she was 14, the Swift family decided to move there. Taylor got picked up by Big Machine Records, and her debut CD, Taylor Swift, has sold over 3 million copies. Taylor has won multiple prestigous awards, one being the CMA Horizon Award in 2007.  Taylor's second CD, Fearless, was released on November 11, 2008, and has so far sold about 500,000 copies.
